I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience with Dr. Bert, his PA Michelle, his MA Katie who returned all my calls and the rest of his staff. Dr. Bert is a great surgeon. kind, answers all your questions, doesn't rush you and checks on you after your surgery; which is unheard of. I saw Dr. Bert for a meniscus tear in my knee. He explained everything that was going on with my knee and how he was going to fix it. This was the best surgical experience I've ever had. And I've had quite a few for other reasons. After my surgery I had a follow up appointment with Michelle, great experience as well. She explained everything that Dr. Bert did during surgery and answered all my questions. Margaret another sweetheart removed my stitches and I never felt a thing.
Dr. Bert did my surgery at the Abrazo Scottsdale hospital. As I said previously this was the best experience I've ever had. From the sweet nurse (Paula) who checked me in and got me all sanitized for surgery, to (Deb) who handled all the rest. Deb is super friendly and upbeat, even at 6:00 am. I've always had difficulty with IVs and Deb made sure to have the IV personnel there to find the veins. Amazing nurse (Keith I think) did an ultrasound on my arm, numbed it up with freezing spray and I didn't feel a thing. This is probably the most stressful point for me and it was so easy. My post op Nurse Noreen took care of me like an angel. If you need arthroscopic knee surgery, go see Dr. Bert. He's the best! I'd give him 10 Stars if I could. You won't be disappointed.

Dr. Bert is an exceptional doctor! I saw him for a hip issue caused by a fall through a wooden deck (termites, etc) that had been causing me excruciating pain when I moved the wrong way (tying shoes, shaving legs, yoga, etc). When I first met Dr. Bert he told me that he could fix my issues with arthroscopic surgery. A previous doctor that I saw only did a hip injection that didn't work. I'm 6 month post-op now and back to yoga and feeling so much better...all thanks to Dr.Bert! I highly recommend him.

If I could give Dr. Bert 10 stars, I would. I had my hip labrum and FAI surgery in 2015 and to this day I still feel great! What I love about Dr. Bert is that he is incredibly gifted in technical skill, passionate about progressive research and techniques to better patient outcomes, and has a caring, genuine bedside manner - a combination not often found in outstanding Orthopedic Surgeons. He also educates his patients on options for treatment, and doesn't push surgery.
He offered to give me a cortisone injection to decrease the pain of my labrum tear if I had something pressing (a trip, etc.) to do, but educated me that it wasn't a fix, that I would need surgery in order to relieve my pain long-term, and honest input that cortisone may weaken my labrum.
The days following surgery, he called me personally to check in on me, which is unheard of. Also, my PT commented on how specific Dr. Bert's rehab protocol was in comparison to other surgeons for this surgery, and that Dr. Bert had well thought-out guidelines to ensure patient success.
I have recommended clients and friends see Dr. Bert for anything related to hip labrum, ACL/meniscus, and rotator cuff as I know they will get incredible care.
Thank you Dr. Bert for all you do! Highly recommended without reservation!

I had hip surgery for FAI almost 1 month ago. I’ve been dealing with the pain for about 7 years and finally could barely walk. Turns out that my Labrum was torn pretty badly and took 4 anchors to fix. That along with all of the inflammation caused from the large bone spur on my femur that’s been pinching my Labrum over the past several years caused a lot of pain and damage to my hip and has caused back, pelvis and other leg pain. I really wanted to avoid surgery but it turns out you can’t ignore it away.
I’ve been a Surgical Technologist doing mainly Orthopedic surgery for over 20 years. Surgery was a very scary thing for me because I know all of the details, what can go wrong etc. Also, since none of the Ortho doctors that I know (and I know a lot of them!!) did the type of surgery that I needed. It was very scary for me to go to someone I didn’t know! However, Dr. Bert came highly recommended by several of his colleagues and other medical professionals that I respect.
Dr. Bert and his entire staff from the receptionist/schedulers, surgery coordinator, X-ray Technologist, the M.A.’s and his Physician Assistant were AMAZING!! They made me feel comfortable and confident that I would be taken care of before, during and after surgery, and I definitely was!
I would like to point out that Dr. Bert and his P.A., Katie were always very quick to call me back in the days and weeks following surgery to address my concerns with pain and what to expect after surgery. They never made me feel rushed and took the time to talk to me and help me feel better.

Dr. Bert is amazing at what he does!! His assistant Michelle is amazing as well. Dr. Bert is compassionate and truly takes time to listen and evaluate your injuries. Before I was able to see Dr. Bert, I was seen at OrthoArizona, needles to say those doctors spend literally 2 mins talking to you and then push you out the door. Any time I've seen Dr. Bert he spends 45mins plus!! After my surgery I feel like a like a million bucks, it's such a great feeling being PAIN FREE!! please do not hesitate in seeing Dr. Bert and his assistant, I promise you will not be disappointed!! Even the front office staff is kind, always has smiles, very accommodating and always willing to help!! Thank you again Dr. Bert and Michelle!!!

I met Dr. Timothy Bert months ago, after being in a car accident where I was “t-boned” which left many injuries. I have a complicated medical history, including CIDP and severe Fibromyalgia. He “listened.” A “TBI” did not make it easy for me to communicate. Dr. Bert was amazingly patient. He was very respectful of my being a Senior and one who asks many questions by nature. He was respectful and very knowledgeable. Not easily threatened by questions. I highly recommend him.
